PROCUREMENT NEWS

Meet the Buyer

This year's Heathrow Meet the Buyer event will take place on the 23rd and 24th November at the Renaissance Hotel, Heathrow. It will be bigger and better than the 2009 event with over 100 buyers attending who are all looking for new sources of supply.

At this event local businesses will have the chance to have face to face sales meetings with buyers of their choice. The event works like a reverse of an exhibition where the buyers are situated in stands and suppliers go to the stand to have their 10 minute meeting.

To be part of this event in 2010 and get the chance to open doors to new clients go to www.heathrowsupplychains.com

Procurement Plan

Our Procurement Plans give details of forthcoming Capital Construction projects at Heathrow

Published_Procurement_Plan.

Please note that the plan will be regularly updated, so check back on a monthly basis. The information contained within the Procurement Plan is intended as a guide only, dates shown may be subject to change and it does not commit Heathrow Airport Ltd to carry out any of the procurement activities listed. Our Procurement Strategy and activity is constantly reviewed and amended as required to ensure we are getting best value for money, whilst delivering efficient solutions for our passengers and the airlines.

We wish to make it clear that expressions of interest or bids are not sought against opportunities listed in the Procurement Plan itself. Please only respond once they appear in the Official Journal of the European Union or on AirportSmart.com, at which time you should respond as directed with the information requested.

The plan is divided into two procurement categories:

  • Competition between Framework suppliers - this is for projects under £25m
  • OJEU - this is normally for projects over £25m

Heathrow is divided up into four Programmes of works with each Programme's contracts being managed by a Contracting Officer, this is also noted in the plan:

  • Eastern Campus (Works Terminals 1 & 2)
  • Western Campus (Works to Terminals 3, 4 & 5)
  • Baggage
  • Infrastructure
